I love shooting a Vermont elopement. I was so excited to kick off this year’s wedding season with Kip and Laura’s fun and intimate wedding at City Hall in Burlington, Vermont. The couple decided to keep things simple with a small ceremony that included only their closest friends and family. Despite the wedding party size, there was no lack of emotion or brevity. In fact the simplicity of it all seemed to make it that much more poignant.
The justice of the peace arrived, Kip and the families got into place and Laura made her entrance up the marble steps with her Dad. The ceremony was brief but meaningful and there weren’t many dry eyes. After the ceremony I took group portraits in City Hall Park with family and wedding party members before spending some time with the happy couple meandering around the Church Street area. We stopped in spots that were meaningful to the couple and some that just caught my eye. After I was done, the couple rejoined their family for a dinner. Sounds like such a great evening! And by keeping the wedding simple, they were able to focus more energy and money into their honeymoon…in Tuscany!
Congratulations Kip and Laura!
