Woodsy Engagement Session | Sally + Phil
I’m so excited to be working with Sally and Phil for their wedding in June of 2017! I photographed Sally’s sister’s wedding in 2014 so I know that I’m working with a great family. It promises to be a fantastic wedding. I met up with the pair recently to photograph their engagement session at Five Tree Hill in Williston which is a tucked-away little hiking spot for some great woodsy shots without too much “hike”. It’s a favorite spot for the couple to hike with their dog so the location had meaning for them as well. We hiked a short distance until the trail opened up to a sunny field with a clear view of Camel’s Hump. As we started the shoot, Sally and Phil needed little direction! They were great at switching up poses and enjoying each other without my asking.
We wove back down the trail and stopped for some shady woodland shots in a few places. Another open field near the trail’s parking allowed for some images with a little more movement. Finally we ended nearby at Sally’s parent’s home for a change of wardrobe and scenery. It was a hot morning but the couple never wilted. See below for some of my favorites full of embraces, kisses, glances and laughs.
You can see how awesome their Jay Peak wedding was here!
